Dr. Jeff Dominitz Rejoins Resolution Economics as Senior Director

We are extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Jeff Dominitz is rejoining Resolution Economics as Senior Director after almost 11 long years away.  Jeff was a founding member of our firm, and left in the fall of 2000 to return to academia as a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  Jeff also served as the director of the U.S. Census Bureau’s Research Data Center housed at CMU.  Jeff then moved to Washington DC, where he was Senior Economist at the RAND Corporation.  Finally, Jeff has also held two fascinating positions with professional football teams, first with the Washington Redskins and then for the past three years with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Jeff’s work in these positions was to use economic theory, econometric techniques, and a deep understanding of the available data in order to help the teams field optimally chosen players and employ them in optimal ways.  While at CMU and RAND, Jeff published a number of articles in top academic journals.  Jeff received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.  He is a recognized expert in labor economics, econometrics, and survey research.  He has published a number of articles in the survey research field, and was for several years associated with the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan.  During his previous stint at Resecon, Jeff served as an expert witness, and was involved in every aspect of the firm’s work.  We could not be more delighted that Jeff has returned to us after all these years, with some phenomenal new experience that will help our clients.  Hallmarks of Jeff’s work are extraordinary creativity coupled with truly rigorous technique.  We are very excited to be working with him again.
