The scope of projects he has worked on has ranged from large class action matters and multi-district litigation to small single-plaintiff cases.
In addition to work in the areas of employment litigation and regulatory compliance, Dr. Bierhanzl has provided analytical expertise for cases involving discrimination and economic impact in the contexts of higher education, agriculture, and the environment. He has also provided analysis and testimony to assist municipal governments involved in labor contract negotiations and interest arbitration.
Dr. Bierhanzl has published papers in The Journal of Labor Research, The Journal of Private Enterprise, the Atlantic Economic Journal, The Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice, and Regulation. He often makes presentations to legal and human resources audiences on the economic analysis of labor and employment issues, and has presented research and served on panels for various professional associations.
