Background
Richard Goldberg is a Partner at Resolution Economics LLC. He has nearly 19 years of experience in labor and employment-related litigation support and consulting. His engagements involve state and federal wage-and-hour litigation, class action employment discrimination claims, and single-plaintiff matters. In addition, Mr. Goldberg partners with companies and their counsel to conduct proactive evaluations of pay equity and compliance with wage-and-hour laws. During his first 12 years with Resolution Economics, Richard worked with the firm’s Los Angeles team. In 2018, Richard moved to Charlotte to grow ResEcon’s labor and employment practice in the Southeast and successfully established the firm’s Charlotte office in 2021. Currently, he works with clients and companies nationally, including those in North Carolina, California, and dozens of points in between. In addition to his data-driven work, Mr. Goldberg routinely designs and oversees the implementation of surveys for labor-related disputes and has provided opinions on proposals involving statistical sampling and survey-based trial plans. He has filed declarations in both state and federal court and has provided testimony at deposition and in arbitration.
Mr. Goldberg holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in political science with an emphasis in quantitative research methodology from Columbia University. Prior to joining Resolution Economics, Mr. Goldberg worked with UCLA’s Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at the Graduate School of Education & Information Sciences and was part of the team that designed, implemented, and analyzed data from several nationwide education-related surveys. During his time at UCLA, he also taught several classes in the Department of Political Science. His academic work has been published in The Journal of Higher Education and presented at conferences.
