Background
Gregory Cowhey is a Partner at Resolution Economics, LLC, an economic consulting and dispute advisory firm based in Los Angeles with offices in several North American business centers, resident in ResEcon’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Cowhey has more than 40 years of experience at international accounting and consulting firms and holds certifications by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Appraisers and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Gregory has extensive experience as a financial forensic expert providing a broad spectrum of dispute advisory services including forensic accounting, economic damage analysis, business and intangible asset valuations and financial fraud investigations to law firms, corporations, governmental agencies, high net worth individuals and trust organizations. Outside of dispute advisory services, Mr. Cowhey regularly consults clients on M&A, financial, economic, accounting and related matters.
Mr. Cowhey has been qualified to provide, and provided, expert testimony in several hundred cases in federal and state courts in more than 20 jurisdictions in the United States, certain foreign countries, arbitrations and other venues for dispute resolution. The range of tribunals in which he has been qualified include civil and commercial disputes, Chancery court actions, criminal proceedings, including Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), tax court and high net worth family law disputes. Mr. Cowhey is frequently appointed by Judges to serve as the “Court’s Expert” and commonly functions as an Arbitrator is certain matters, including post-acquisition disputes.
