Background
Dr. Tranfa-Abboud is a Partner based in the Morriston, NJ office of Resolution Economics LLC. She holds a Ph.D. in Labor and Employment Economics and in Industrial Organization & Regulation from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela. Dr. Tranfa-Abboud is also a Certified Forensic Examiner and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics. Prior to joining Resolution Economics, Dr. Tranfa-Abboud was Founder and President of Analytical Economics Associates LLC in Morristown, NJ.
Dr. Tranfa-Abboud has extensive experience in the design and implementation of economic analyses in labor and employment disputes and business disputes and has testified in State and Federal courts. Dr. Tranfa-Abboud provides research, statistical analysis, damages analysis, and expert witness services in labor and employment, personal injury & wrongful death, business lost profits, wrongful advertising, professional malpractice, and intellectual property disputes, among other areas. Dr. Tranfa-Abboud has also served as a consulting expert in transfer pricing and executive compensation analyses.
Prior to her arrival to the United States, Dr. Tranfa-Abboud was an advisor to the Chief of the Central Budget Office of Venezuela, and also served as an economic advisor to the Short-Term Planning Division Chief of Central Planning Office of Venezuela, and was a member of the Venezuelan government’s privatization committee.
Dr. Tranfa-Abboud’s professional experience also includes academic positions in the United States and in Venezuela. Dr. Tranfa-Abboud was a Visiting Professor at Rutgers University and held the position of Instructor in the Department of Economics of Universidad Central de Venezuela (Caracas, Venezuela).
Dr. Tranfa-Abboud has published papers in the Journal of Forensic Economics, and has authored papers for The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, the Employee Relations Law Journal, CCH Human Resources Management Ideas and Trends, and authored a chapter published in Determining Economic Damages.
Dr. Tranfa-Abboud is originally from Venezuela, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
