Background

Vivek Shah, Ph.D., is a Director based in Resolution Economics’ Los Angeles office. He is a testifying economist specializing in antitrust and complex commercial litigation, with a focus on liability, class certification, impact, and damages. Dr. Shah has over fifteen years of experience analyzing economic issues across a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, digital platforms, software, insurance, agriculture, consumer products, electronic manufacturing, banking, payments, and education. Dr. Shah has authored expert reports and provided deposition testimony in federal and state courts in matters involving insurance and consumer class actions, Medicare fraud under the False Claims Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and product-liability damages.

In addition to his testifying work, Dr. Shah manages matters involving both in-house experts and academic affiliates, overseeing teams of consultants through all phases of analysis, report development, and testimony preparation. His experience includes work for both private clients and government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, multiple State Attorneys General offices, and international competition authorities.

QUALIFIED VETERAN:
